Our Professional Speed Dome Cameras are Auto Focus,
High-Resolution Integrated Camera/Optics with different option
Packages; such as Day/Night, a vast array of Zoom Power, Wide
Dynamic Range, Motion Detection, Password Protection, Freeze
Frame During Presets, Alarm Inputs; Programmable Auxiliary
Outputs, Built-in Surge and Limited Lightning Protection,
Heavy-Duty and Stainless Steel Models Available.
Some models feature multiple back box configurations and auto
focus, high-resolution dome drives with programmable software,
and include an environmental in-ceiling model that is ideal for
outdoor installations, or an indoor surface mount, indoor
in-ceiling model, or pendant styles for standard and
environmental installations. Some models feature built-in memory
to store camera and location-specific dome settings, including
labels, presets, patterns, and zones.
Static or Dome Cameras?
One of main reasons you will see dome cameras in use is because
these cameras have
enhanced the way CCTV can help your security requirement. Unlike
is fixed camera, a speed dome camera is able to Pan, Tilt and
Zoom (PTZ) around the area that is installed.
The PTZ therefore ensures that the area of vision is far greater
than a static camera which only looks in one direction. The
downside to a static camera is that it is easy to work out the
areas the camera does NOT cover and so avoid being captured by
it.
Alternatively, if you want to cover a wider area with static
cameras then you need to go to the expense of installing more
cameras which then starts to become an
expensive option.
Dome cameras have an obvious
security advantage that is it difficult to tell exactly where a
dome camera is pointing thereby giving the impression that it is
covering the entire 360 degrees surrounding. In contrast, a
fixed camera does not have the same impact or security
advantage.
For outdoor use, some dome cameras come with Weatherproof
housing with built-in
heaters and cooling fans.
Tour function
One of the most useful features of a Dome camera in addition to
the PTZ control, is its ability to be programmed to
automatically “Tour” the area it is installed in. This means
that the camera can be programmed to look at different areas of
the premises and circle back to the beginning instead of staying
fixed in one place.
