The VX-146 heavy
duty (professional) PMR446 transceiver provides 500 mW ERP of power for reliable
two-way communications within a 3 kilometre radius (depending upon
terrain).
Lock out
interference and annoying breakthrough from other stations on the
same channels by choosing from one of 38 CTCSS tones or from one of
104 DCS sequences on one of the 8 pre-programmed RF channels in the
PMR446 allocated frequency range. Up to 16 different channel / CTCSS
or DCS sequences can be programmed into the radio.
